Additional Crysis Information

CrysisPC From the makers of Far Cry, Crysis offers FPS fans the best-looking, most highly-evolving gameplay, requiring the player to use adaptive tactics and total customization of weapons and armor to survive in dynamic, hostile environments including Zero-G. Earth, 2019. A team of US scientists makes a frightening discovery on an island in the South China Sea. All contact with the team is lost when the North Korean Government quickly seals off the area. The United States responds by dispatching an elite team of Delta Force Operators to recon the situation. As tension rises between the two nations, a massive alien ship reveals itself in the middle of the island. The ship generates an immense force sphere that freezes a vast portion of the island and drastically alters theglobal weather system. Now the US and North Korea must join forcesto battle the alien menace. With hope rapidly fading, you must fight epic battles through tropical jungle, frozen landscapes, and finally into the heart of the alien ship itself for the ultimate Zero G showdown. What Customers Say About Crysis:

[.].Giant killer robot armed with cannons and missiles and laser's (oh my). If you get bored playing Crysis as is, have you heard of the MechWarrior mod for it. beating the snot out of other similarly armed robots, let the carnage begin.

Keeps stopping during install and aborting. We have not been able to install the sandbox editor program yet. It's still definately a must have game for 2009. My son had been waiting to get a new computer so he could play games like crisis and fallout 3 on the pc. We got the new computer and the game. Other than that the game is truly awesome.

There is such a concept as pushing too hard, too fast, and too soon, which might be a rationale for explaining why Crysis wasn't actually nearly as successful as anticipated - too many people simply weren't going to be able to experience the game.Secondly, the back end of the game is rather disappointing, and I am not talking about the storyline itself (Don't worry, I won't give anything away, assuming you haven't played the game yet). They feel like a last-minute addition.Oh, and we cannot leave out the stereotypical FPS cliche of requiring the hero to empty half a magazine into the most basic of enemies to bring him down.if only we could take 5 bullets to the head and live to tell the tale.As a final note, however, I will end on positive terms - visually, the game is gorgeous and exceptionally impressive, and the storyline is unique and fun. Typically, hardware and software manufacturers leapfrog eachother in technology development, keeping PC technology in a state of constant progression, however Crytek (the developer) decided to jump over the moon, leaving everyone in the dust, and questioning if they really wanted to follow - it is hard to comprehend how the game was even developed. At unexpected and undesirable moments, the hero will find himself falling through non-existent holes in the deck of an aircraft carrier and sinking to the sea floor, and floating around within the solid matter of an alien space ship.can someone say, "Philidelphia Experiment." Furthermore, controls tend to resist working properly when you need them most.

At a key point in the game, the overall performance begins to become choppy and "laggy." Many bugs will begin to present themselves, and make their presence VERY well-known, in some cases, making it impossible for the game to progress, as the bug(s) prevent a triggering mechanism that allows the game to continue from occuring. I can hear you now: "Maybe you should get a better computer." Well, to the little drooling butterball living in your parent's basement, sucking up their parent's food and money to play games, I say to you, my computer is just fine, and handled the front half of the game beautifully, and is fully updated, along with the game. But, boy, are those graphics beautiful. What these problems truly imply is that the developers and testers were sloppy and hasty during the back end of development. Upon release, it's capacity exceeded that of the X Box 360 and Playstation 3, whose players were left out in the cold. At the time of its release, my computer was already considered "over the hill." 2 years after the game's release, my new top of the line computer can still barely handle the game on high settings.after all, I couldn't imagine anything less would be worthwhile.

You can see the pores on a character's face. Even avid PC gamers to this day can only cringe at the processing power required. The framerate also tends to drop drastically for no apparent reason, and the game has the tendancy to "crash" unexpectedly. Of less importance, but still a sign of hastiness and laziness,is the boringness and poor performance of the vehicle interaction. Crysis created much hype long before it was ever released - of course, I had to have it. Yet, a pretty face isn't everything, and this brings us to the first critique: The developers created a game that most gamers cannot enjoy to its fullest.

You can also expect to have problems with "clipping," in which the problems are compounded by the physics engine.

I should have spent a bit more and bought the expanded version, you get really into it then it ends. The game itself isn't that long, and I played this right after playing GTA IV, which was a let down because the texture of the GTA IV experience (open sandbox, etc) makes this game seem confinded.

I thought this was very diferent sort of game. Very fun and worth the money.
